Udupi: Twenty Nine Beneficiaries of Minority Communities Avail Micro Loans

Udupi, Apr 14: Local MP, D V Sadanand Gowda, distributed cheques amounting to Rs 1.45 lac, to 29 members of the self-help-groups, promoted by the women to the minority communities in the district, under the micro loans scheme of Karnataka Minorities Development Corporation, here on Tuesday April 13.
Addressing the gathering on this occasion, Gowda said that the BJP-led state government has been supporting the minority communities under various welfare schemes. He urged more and more people from the minority communities to come forward to avail of the benefits under various minority communities welfare programmes.
Karnataka Minority Communities Development Corporation chairman, N B Abubakker, said that as compared to the earlier state government, the present BJP-led state government has contributed more towards the welfare of the minority communities, duly supporting his statement with the help of statistics.
Taluk panchayat social justice standing committee chairman, Katpady Shankar Poojary, BJP district level office bearers, Shyamala S Kundar and Geethanjali Suvarna, BJP Minority Morcha office bearers, Salim Ambagilu, Azharuddin, Sameer and others were present on the occasion.
Devaraj Urs Corporation’s district manager, Ramamurthy Maiya, welcomed the gathering and proposed vote of thanks.
