Press Release

Mumbai, Apr 9: Noted Journalist and honorary director of Manipal Institute of Communications, M V Kamath, said that a third edition in one decade of this kind of book ‘is in itself a first of its kind’, after officially releasing ‘Ad-Ventures of a PR man’.

At an awards function of the Association of Business Communicators of India (ABCI) organized in the metro recently,  Kamath said the style and narration by the author of the book,  S N Surkund, working as the deputy general manager of Union Bank of India, is so simple and down to earth, that even ‘Dale Carnegie would have applauded’.

Surkund has been penning down his experiences over the years and bringing them out in the form of a book. Many chapters in the book relate to hilarious events that occurred in Udupi and Dakshina Kannada districts.

According to Surkund, the third edition of his book has 60 new chapters with over 300 pages ,and priced at Rs.295. For students, members of PRCI, PRSI and ABCI, a discount of 25 percent ( postage extra), is being offered.

Fully illustrated with lively cartoons by Suresh Sawant, it promises to be a 'unputdownable'’ fare, considering the feed-back the book got for its second edition.

It also contains three chapters, based on actual happenings in the United States, during the author’s visit.
