Mangalore : Konkani Scholars' Meet on Apr 10

Mangalore, Apr 9: Eminent Konkani Scholars, Linguists and Writers from Goa, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala will meet on 10th April 2010 at World Konkani Centre, Shakti Nagar, Mangalore to discuss and prepare a framework for research activities in Socio-Linguistic, Cultural and Anthropological areas pertaining to Konkani Language and it’s speech communities.

Eminent Konkani Scholars such as, Dr. Tanaji Halarnkar, Dr. Rocky Miranda, Dr. Suniti Bai, Dr. Prakash Vazarikar and many others will participate in this meet.

The Meet is organized by Mangalore based Konkani Language and Cultural Foundation which plans to award fellowships for research in Konkani Language and Cultural sphere from current academic year.
