Mangalore, Apr 6: Dharma Raksha Samiti has announced its plans to take a huge protest rally in the city on Tuesday April 6, to register the anger of the Hindus against the attempts being made to defame Sri Raghaveshwara Bharati Swamiji of Ramachandrapur Mutt. It said the rally is also against the increasing practice of deriding the Hindu Swamijis and the continuing efforts to restrict Hindu organizations.
The rally will be taken at 11 am from Jyoti Circle here, to the office of the district deputy commissioner. The rally will also demand for the withdrawal of a case registered by the Goa policemen against Dr Jayant Athavale, founder of ‘Sanatana Samsthe’, for disturbing peace. Murder attempts on Asarm Bapuji will also be condemned, said convener of the Samiti, Arunacharya, through a press release.
The fans of the said Swamiji and members of Uppinangady Mandala Havyaka Parishat will organize a silent protest in front of the office of the assistant commissioner in Puttur against the attempts being made against the Swamiji to show him in poor light at 11 am on Tuesday April 6. They said that an attempt to sully the image of the Swamiji by manufacturing a fake CD failed because of the timely action of the inspector general of police (IGP), Gopal Hosur. After the protest, efficient police officer, IGP Gopal Hosur, will be thanked for his exemplary action, a release of Raghaveshwara Sri Abhimanigala Balaga said.
