Puttur, Apr 5: Aniketana Chinnara Mela-2010, a special summer camp organized by Anikethana Educational Trust to encourage the vivid talents of district children was inaugurated by Gloria College principal Sitaram Kevala at Dr Shivaram Karanth Balavana here, recently.
Speaking on the occasion, Sitaram Kevala said, he is happy that the Balavana has been utilized for the activities of children. He lauded the Anikethana Trust for organizing a month-long summer camp which will boost the children’s talent.
Uday Vitla, eminent caricature artist, Vijaya Karnataka, Karunakar, Mysore Chamarajendra Academy of Visual Arts, Santhosh , Rangayana were present on the occasion.
Indus College professor Rajesh Bejjangala spoke on the occasion. Anikethana Educational Trust working director Krishna Prasad welcomed the gathering and compered the programme.
As many as 85 children from 5 to 15 years of age will attend the camp which will be held till May 5. The camp will mainly aim to create environmental awareness among children and they will also be trained in fine art, Yoga, moral education, dramatics and so on which will enhance their creativity.
