Panaji: Government to start post-COVID clinics for recovered patients

Panaji, Sep 12: Pramod Sawant, the chief minister of Goa state said that the government would start post-COVID clinics to help recovered patients deal with issues arising from post-recovery of coronavirus.

He said that the clinics will start in the primary health centres (PHCs) which will offer counselling and treatment.

Sawant who had contacted the virus and recovered said that he understands the post-COVID issues faced by people and even signs of lung fibrosis can be observed in patients above 60.

  

"There can be various complications. Some can't maintain their regular breathing rate, some have headaches, some complain of bodyache," he said.

"The clinics will play an important role in the management of health issues of COVID cured people," Sawant said.
