Udupi, Apr 2: The policemen attached to Brahmavar police station stopped a mini truck carrying cattle in the wee hours on Thursday April 1 from near Kolalagiri in Uppur village, and arrested two persons. They have also confiscated the cattle and the vehicle. One of the accused escaped from the place, the policemen revealed.
The arrested men have been identified as Abdul Khader from Kulai, Mangalore,and Altaf from Suratkal. The other accused, Sadiq from Tokur in Suratkal, who was driving the mini truck, escaped. Ten heads of cattle were found inside the mini truck, and the accused reportedly told the policemen that they were being carried to another state for slaughtering them.
