Kasargod, Sep 4: Badiadka residents have caught a person while stealing cattle at Chambalthimar here this morning and handed him over to the Badiadka police personnel. The accused has been identified as Thekkil Mangad resident Ramshan Sainuddin (20). Local people who grew suspicious when they saw cattle being transported in a van stopped him and informed the police who arrested him. Investigations have revealed that he had stolen a cow belonging to Poinachi Ponnada resident Radhakrishna. Povval resident Muneer (30) who was with him has also been arrested.
Escape from quarantine facility:
Ramshan had fled from police custody in Kannur Edakkad quarantine centre a few days ago. He was then caught and placed in the quarantine centre at Anjarakandi. As he fled from there also, Kasargod police personnel found and arrested him near Chemnad bridge and handed him over to Edakkad police. Following which, he was kept under observation of Anjarakandi medical college hospital. However, he escaped from there as well. On Friday, he was finally nabbed while engaging in cattle theft. The arrested is also accused in several cases of thefts including vehicles.
