Bengaluru, Sep 2: The union minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Prahlad Joshi announced the Central approval for the construction of a flyover at Hubballi Chennamma circle traffic island at a cost of Rs 298 crore.
Prahlad Joshi, who represents the Hubballi Lok Sabha constituency and is also in charge of the coal and mines ministry, said that construction of the flyover at Chennamma circle traffic island in Hubballi was a long-standing demand of the local people to minimize the traffic congestion.
Thanking the prime minister, Narendra Modi and the union minister for Highways and Surface Transport, Nitin Gadkari for clearing the proposal, Joshi mentioned that a proposal for the construction of the flyover at an estimated cost of Rs 349.92 crore was originally submitted last year and that the final approval for taking up the work at an approved cost of Rs 298 crore has been accorded.
