M'lore: Catholic Brethren Celebrate Palm Sunday with Religious Gaiety Daijiworld Media Network - Mangalore (SB) Pics by Spoorthy Ullal Mangalore, Mar 28: Catholic devouts all over Dakshina Kannada district Celebrated Palm Sunday, the holy Sunday before Good Friday that marks the end of Lent.
Paldane church here reflected the scene that is almost similar in every church in the region wherein Catholic brethren holding palm leaves visited their parishes in gorups. This day according to Bible, Jesus Christ the saviour entered Jerusalem to a rouding reception of his disciples, who welcomed him waving palm leaves, a gesture that signifies the victory of good over evil.
Devotees held a procession also towards churches in Milagres,Valencia and Bendore in the city among others.
