Udupi, Aug 31: Advocate representing Dr Vidyavachaspathi Sri Santhosh Bharathi Swamiji of Barkur Mahasamsthana at Barkur near Brahmavar, Nagaraj Nayak, speaking about a video in bad taste that had been made public, said that the report by a forensic science laboratory has confirmed that the video in question was meddled with.
"This happens to be the handiwork of people who want to defame the Swamiji and extract money from him. The people behind the video clip have shown Hindus, ancient Hindu culture and Gurus in poor light. A video clip in which the Swamiji was treating one of the patients, was taken and other content of the video was edited. The forensic science laboratory has certified in its report that the video clip was edited, and the timing, dates, and shooting do not align with each other," he claimed.
Nayak narrated that a driver and two others who were working for the Swamiji a few years back had stolen the key of the Swamiji's cupboard and stolen Rs 3 lac. The Swamiji had not filed an official complaint about the incident but just had kept the police abreast of this development. A person who was close to Math had taken these people to task for stealing money. Because of this incident, the trio got angry at the Swamiji and planned a conspiracy with the help of the former gunman. One among them was a computer operator. During the inquiry, it has been found that the video was the handiwork of these people," the advocate stated.
