Panaji, Mar 26: Chief minister Digambar Kamat presented the annual State Budget in the Goa State Assembly during the ongoing assembly session at Porvorim on Thursday, March 25.

Main Highlights of the budget are:

  • New Dharbandora Taluka will be formed.
  • Development fund of Rs 50 lac to all the 40 MLAs.
  • Golden Jubilee Council under Dr Raghunath Mashelkar.
  • Allocation to the Agricultural sector doubled.
  • Unutilised industrial land & SEZ will be given to bigger industries.
  • Venture capital funds to Goans.
