Bangalore, Mar 26: In a press release, the state Haj Committee executive officer, Nissar Ahmed, has said that the central Haj Committee has released the temporary applications in connection with the Haj pilgrimage for the year 2010. Only those who fill in and submit their applications within the prescribed date would be eligible for being picked up for the pilgrimage through lottery system, he has clarified.
The applications are available at the central office of the state Haj Committee at No.84-A, Richmond Road, Bangalore – 25 and all the district central offices of the district Wakf ommittee on all days from April 1, 2010 except on official holidays. They are available on payment of prescribed fee. The applications can also be downloaded from the website of the central Haj Committee, www.hajcommittee.com or website of the state Haj Committee, www.karhaj.in.
The filled in temporary applications should be sent to the central office of the state Haj Committee on Richmond Road so as to reach before April 30, 2010, along with demand draft of State Bank of India, payable to the Central Haj Committee Mumbai, current account No. 30683623887. Al the details about the pilgrimage and instructions to fill the application are given in the application forms. The filled in applications can be delivered either by the applicant himself or through post, he clarified.
He has clarified that Karnataka State Haj Committee has not entered into any administrative understanding with any individual, private organizations or middlemen relating to the distribution of applications, their acceptance and about the training scheme on Haj rituals. The state committee has also not appointed anyone officially relating to the Haj pilgrimage processes, he stressed.
The attention of those willing to take up Haj pilgrimage has been specifically drawn to the Saudi Arabia’s government’s stipulation that every one visiting Saudi Arabia on Haj pilgrimage should necessarily possess international passport.
