Bantwal, Aug 26: “Scarcity of staff in Bantwal municipal council will be set right, release of funds for development project and elections for the president and vice president in the municipal council are likely to be held soon,” said Karnataka state minister of municipal administration department, horticulture and sericulture and Mandya district in charge minister Dr K C Narayanagowda.
He was speaking to reporters after visiting officials in the guest house with MLA Rajesh Naik Ulippady on Wednesday.
A subcommittee has been formed in the chief minister’s cabinet and its decision is submitted to the high court so that no one questions the government's reservation. The suggestions of MLA Rajesh Naik for development of Bantwal municipal council are noted. Efforts to control coronavirus have continued under the leadership of the chief minister. The administration works so as to prevent setbacks in development. Marking horticulture land for the sports complex is in progress. Increase of compensation for horticulture during natural calamities would be considered, he said.
Drainage board director Sulochana G K Bhat, BUDA president Devadas Shetty, senior municipal council member A Govinda Prabhu, Devappa Poojary, Prakash Anchan, Udayakumar Rao, Purushotham Shetty, Sudarshan Baja, Prabhakar Prabhu, DSP Valentine D’Souza, chief officer Lena Britto and engineer Dominic D’Mello were present.
