Kasargod, Aug 25: A Mangaluru resident drowned in a rivulet while taking bath. The deceased was Vinod (35), who was residing in Yekkkur.
The incident took place on Sunday evening, August 23. Vinod had got down for a bath in a rivulet near Madhoor bridge after working at Madhoor. Eye-witnesses who saw him drowning informed the police department and fire service department. Though they arrived and searched for him in the lake, they could not find him in the water. Vinod’s mortal remains were found beside the rivulet after two days on Tuesday August 25.
Police personnel have taken into custody the bike in which he had arrived and parked on the bridge.
Vinod was unmarried and was staying in the house of his relatives at Kolya, Madhoor. His mortal remains are kept at Kasargod general hospital mortuary. A post-mortem will be conducted after receiving the deceased’s Covid test report.
