Kundapur, Aug 23: A man committed suicide due to financial distress. Nagaraja Mogaveera (37), elder brother of Vinaya Mogaveera (30), son of late Annaiah Mogaveera, resident of Nagaraja Nilaya, Balakudru, Hangarakatte, Irodi village of Brahmavar taluk was working in Bengaluru. Due to Covid lockdown, he had come down to his native place and was at home for two months.
Nagaraja had taken loans at various places for the marriage of his two sisters. He was undergoing psychological pressure because of this and always seemed to be under pressure.
On the night of August 21, all family members had dinner and went to bed. On the morning of August 22, Nagaraja said that he has to bring the idol of Lord Ganesha as it was the festival and went out of the home. He was found hanging inside Hangarakatte Yuvaka Mandala building. It is suspected that he must have killed himself between 5 am and 6 am of August 22.
A complaint in this regard is filed in Kota police station under UDR serial number 43/2020 and column 174 of CrPC.
