Karnataka moving towards totally banning cow slaughter

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Aug 21: State animal husbandry minister Prabhu Chauhan, said that the bill to ban cow slaughter in the state will be tabled in the next monsoon session and approval of the legislature will be obtained.

Speaking to media persons Chauhan said that placing a ban on cow slaughter is on the party's agenda. "We will not dither even if the Congress opposes the move. Our own party is in power both at the centre and the state. Therefore, we will implement the law and protect the cows," he explained.

Prabhu Chauhan

He said that irrespective of what strategies the Congress will employ, his party will move the bill and obtain approval of the legislature. He said that the Act would have been implemented in 2012 but for the impediments created by the then Congress government in power at the centre for its passage.

I have reason to agree to your opinion.

Look, Forex reserve has shrunk. It's very much possible that Indian govt is planning to increase export of (xxxf) so that our Forex strengthens.

so many murders take place... but life life imprisonments or capital punishments for the murderers is rarely heard of... Bhaskar Shetty was murdered long back... no one is sentenced till now... Anand Kulal (cyanide mohan) committed spate of murders decades back, he is still alive... human slaughter is not a serious crime?

Since the plastic bags are knotted at the mouth, cows, unable to undo the knot, eat food leftovers including the plastic. Slowly, over time, they build up a huge amount of plastic inside their stomachs. It gets entangled with different materials and it becomes hard like cement inside their belly.

It has been a life changing experience for all of us who witnessed the surgery and the removal of plastics and other waste items from the cow's belly. We are horrified by the suffering of cows caused by the garbage system and the problem of letting cows loose on the road.

Daily I see, dozens of cows scavenging near Kengeri Railway station. Thousands of people pass through the road, but no one cares for the mother and God.

The slaughter of cow, calf of a cow (male or female) or calf of a she-buffalo is totally prohibited. Anyone violating the law can be punished with imprisonment up to maximum of 6 months or fine of up to ₹ 1,000 or both under Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act,
So what is the need for this drama except to create a fanatical frenzy and play religious politics?
Who cares for the poor abandoned cattle roaming the streets eating garbage?
Do we have the means to feed and take care of these strays?
We can't even feed our people so why create this drama??

Chauhanji. Is this the only thing on your agenda to fullfill. Look around
and see the need of the hour. There are hundreds of better things than
this if you and your governing body wanting to do good for the people who voted you as trustworthy.

What is the point over the term "totally banning" while the slaughter of cow, calf of a cow (male or female) or calf of a she-buffalo totally prohibited. Anyone violating the law can be punished with imprisonment up to maximum of 6 months or fine of up to ₹ 1,000 or both under Prevention of Cow Slaughter and Cattle Preservation Act, 1964.

Yes.. Also stop export of beef .. India is one the largest producers .. .. Also people leaving cows on roads should be arrested for mistreating .. Our politicians should stop having leather belts, shoes, wallets etc....

In fact cow milk should not be consumed .. When did cows give permission to be milked .. Its harassment for cows . denying calves their right ..

If this act helps us to win over corona virus, gives jobe to jobless youth, gives fair price to farmers for their hard work, helps the victims of natural and man-made disasters that we are facing today, helps in eradicating caste system and superstition, gives quality education at an affordable rate and keeps politicians and govt officials from dealing in corruption, then please ban the cow slaughter and I will support it. If not, stop focussing on silly and stupid things and concentrate on real issues that worry the citizen

Na rahega baans na bajegi bansuri.
But, wondering why BJPians are hesitant to ban BEEF exports?? The answer would be the exported meat is buffalo meat.
If so, why not allow it to be consumed locally ???

From the beginning of the world people were eating available food especially vegetables.man become non-vegetarian passage of time.As we migrated from African asian area we also have similar food habits. We have graded people in different caste religion creed race. It was not at the beginning. If a person is killed any of the above category the person considered as a murder. If any thing that has life as per science, then we can ban killing all things that has life. Then questions of man animal plant doesn't arise. All are creation of man kind. Man being cruel controlled all other things. So ban selfish Idea and ban killing of all things that have life

First and foremost Karnataka & India should move totally towards banning hunger, illiteracy and inequality between common man and elected officials in consumption of resources like basic food items and after it success only move towards banning animal slaughter, particularly cow slaughter.
