Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 20: Suspicions were raised after a lorry reached UAE consulate with a parcel on March 6. The parcel reported to have been religious texts was taken to the consulate in a lorry from Shanghumukham cargo complex. The vehicle with the registration number KL-01-C-6264 was used to transport rice at the FCI godown nearby. It is registered to a person named Ali, who resides near Valiyathura.
The parcel which weighed 4,479 kg was claimed to have been religious texts gave way for suspicions after a big lorry was used for delivery.

Further, the parcel reached the UAE consulate on March 6, a Friday and when the consulate is closed. No consulate officials, not even the Indian officers, were present. It is very likely that this arrangement was made to maintain secrecy of the parcel.
Some of the contents of this parcel which was taken to Malappuram in a government vehicle belonged to C-apt.
