Kasargod, Aug 19: The prime accused in the Harish murder case has been arrested by Kumble police.
The accused has been identified as Shrikumar (26) resident of Shanthipalla, Kumble. Shrikumar was working as a driver in the mill where 38-year-old Harish worked.
Investigation indicated that the motive behind the murder was personal enmity. The accused and the victim reportedly had differences regarding a girl, as per the police. The police officials stated that the duo even had a fight on a petty issue a few days back.
It is said that more than four people were involved in the murder and the police are tracing others.
Police have also found evidence that Roshan (21) and Manikantha (19) who were found hanging after Harish's murder, were also involved in the crime.
The accused Shrikumar will be soon produced in court and interrogated in police custody. The police have also recovered brutal weapons used in the murder and blood-soaked clothes of the accused which were thrown into a drain.
The police officers also took the accused to the crime scene for further investigations.
