Kasargod, Aug 16: The police team investigating the case where a brother killed his sister by poisoning an ice-cream, have decided to interrogate the friends and lover of the accused.
Albin (22) had killed his sister Ann Mary (16) by mixing ice cream with poison.
Albin had planned the murder in order to grab the four and a half-acre of the land belonging to his parents to live a lavish life with his lover. The police are exploring this angle and inquiring the presence of other people in the murder.
The family members were also against the idea of Albin inviting his friends to the home. This has led the police to suspect the involvement of his friends and his lover in the murder of his family.
The cybercrime team discovered that Albin had used Google to find ways to carry out the crime.
Ann Mary (16) had died on Aug 5 in a hospital after she stopped responding to treatment. She had consumed homemade ice cream on July 31 and was admitted in the hospital after becoming seriously ill.
