Bantwal, August 13: District journalist’s association president Srinivas Nayak Indaje and chief secretary Ibrahim Adkastala in a programme held at B C Road press club, distributed identity cards that are provided by Karnataka state journalists association to its members.
Srinivas Nayak Indaje said that those among the journalists working in rural areas, are facing COVID problems and the state president has already spoken to the chief minister about compensation. “As several members are experiencing health issues, hospital health cards will be issued to the members,” he said. District chief secretary Ibrahim Adkastala conveyed best wishes on the occasion.
Bantwal taluk working journalist’s association president Harish Mambadi in his introductory address welcomed the gathering and gave details of activities by the journalists association. Bantwal press club president Prashanth Poonjalkatte was also present for the event.
Taluk journalist association secretary Mohammed Ali Vitla rendered the vote of thanks. Identity cards and KSHEMA health cards were distributed to the members in the taluk. Meanwhile, the assaults on journalists in Bengaluru were also condemned.
