Mangaluru, Aug 13: Taking to twitter to express his views on DJ Halli riots at Bengaluru, local MLA U T Khader, stressed that torching things is not part of our culture. "In everything, law of the land is the final word. Not only Bengaluru, such incidents should never be allowed to happen in any village in the state," he stated.
He requested everyone to work to maintain peace and repose faith in carrying on struggles for a cause. "There is no doubt that strictest possible action should be initiated against those who used abusive language against the Prophet Mohammad Paigambar. But taking law into one's hands and destroying public property on this pretext cannot be approved," he said.
He felt that the situation would not have reached this stage, if the police department had settled the issue of religious abuse through social media at the preliminary level. He felt that everyone should own responsibility and work to discharge it.
