Sullia: Entangled in arched high tension cable, biker charred to death

Sullia, Aug 11: In a tragic accident which happened at around 5.30 am on Tuesday August 11, a motor bike rider who got entangled in a high tension power line that was hanging loosely in a perilous manner, was electrocuted.

His body as well as the bike he was riding were charred beyond recognition.

The accident happened near Kalleri near Nintikal in the taluk. As per preliminary information, the man who died in the accident was identified to be from Mandekolu area.

Later, it was confirmed that he was Umesh(45) from Mythadka, Mandekolu.

    In India most of the Mishaps are taking place due to poor safety issues. During the rainy season so many transformers explode but still there is no one held responsible. Same like the Bore well cap.

    Govt. spend so many lakhs to drill the bore well but cannot spend a few hundreds to cap an empty bore well. Again Govt. spend a few lakhs to remove a child from the bore well. Additional money Spent to remove the child should be recovered from the contractor and Panchayat president & MLA.

    Rajesh D.Dubai,you have right.But the problem here is Govt is giving out,but doesnt check that is the biggest problem .where are these lacs or crores are gone?is the work really done properly,or gone in the gutter.Noone is interested this operation to take up at the end and is done as it should be.roads etc. are repaired with mud statt as it should be.when rain comes same condition.same with bridges too.Electric cables should be placed underground.In monsoon they are dangerous and have lost many lifes.Same time I find motorcycle drivers too should drive carefully instead of simply rushing.Monsoon is a dangerous time.I mean generally.So sad he could not escape this tragody.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to the family.

    Social /emotional consequences of his absence to the family would be enormous.
    Who will own up the responsibility ??

    How can a HT cable be left hanging ? Power distributing company should be fined heavily for this callous & inefficient attitude!

    Entire Government /public service departments have this " DON'T CARE ATTITUDE" towards normal citizens . Individually we should take care of our own safety , without depending up on these corrupt departments

    Very sad & unfortunate incident. Due to the callousness attitude of the authorities a innocent life is lost. His family lost precious member/ bread winner.Concerned authorities should be taken to task. Family should be adequately compensated. May his soul rest in 🙏peace🙏

    This is negligence .... Doctors are easily beaten up wen people lose life even if there is no negligence....
    But now tell me which person from public Wil go to mescom office and assault the officer there. Assaulting is wrong, but wil atleast someone be held accountable.
