Mangaluru: Glorious Angelore’s Konkani song ‘Gandhiji’ to release on Aug 15

Mangaluru, Aug 10: On the occasion of the 74th Independence Day of India, Glorious Angelore is all set to present ‘Gandhiji’, a Konkani song, paying tribute to the Father of the Nation. The song will be premiered on the YouTube channel of ‘Glorious Angelore’ channel on August 15 at 10 am.

Lyrics of the song ‘Gandhiji’ was penned down in 1999 by Irene D’Souza Angelore and Maxim Pereira Angelore and has won many prizes in inter-parish singing competitions in Mangaluru. The song depicts the situation of India post-Independence. It is tuned by Melody Star Maxim Pereira Angelore. Music is arranged by Sangeeth Guru Joel Pereira.

As many as 16 children between the age group of 10 to 15 years have lent their beautiful voices to this song. Highlight of this song is that it is recorded and shot in Dubai and Mangaluru to bring in a beautiful blend in the voices.

Singers from Dubai include, Tisha Joylin Mathias, Lisha Cutinha, Eva Claire Vas, Vanessa Valentina Lobo, Simona Menezes, Benita Geona Rodrigues, Leora Vevina D’Souza, and Trisha Deanne Lobo.

Singers from Mangaluru are Abigail Macy Pereira, Eva Cecilia Pereira, Liana Lobo, Rishal Melba Crasta, Neha Castelino, Senora Cutinha, Iral Santhmayor & Anya Pearl D’Souza.

Glorious Angelore, ever since its inception for the last 25 years, has always been a stepping stone for new talents, be it singing, music, acting or cinema, with the sole purpose of encouraging newcomers.
