Puttur, Aug 10: An auto-rickshaw driver was killed in an unfortunate accident which happened near Kaudichchar Palla on Mani - Mysuru national highway on Sunday, August 9.

A car had hit the three-wheeler before hitting a scooter. The auto-rickshaw was badly mangled in the accident. The auto-rickshaw driver, identified as Damodar Acharya (45) a former member of Kadaganur gram panchayat, breathed his last due to injuries when being taken to a hospital. 

Some people inside the car and the scooter rider were injured, they have been admitted into a hospital. A case relating to this accident was registered in Puttur rural police station.
