Bangalore, Mar 16: A total of 6, 51,771 students will appear for the second pre university examination being held from March 18 to 31 in the state. The students will appear for their examinations in 907 examination centres, spread all over the state.
A three tier system of invigilation has been put in place to stop irregularities and copying during the examination, in all the centres. In addition, 2,700 squads will be in operation. 52 of the examination centres have been classified as sensitive, while 19 have been grouped under the ‘super sensitive’ category.
The PU education department had started a helpline to assist students to get over their mental pressure they normally suffer during this state level examination, as it has the potential to make or mar their future. This helpline is said to have drawn good response from the students.
The evaluation work will begin on April 2 in Bangalore, Mysore, Belgaum, Davangere, Mangalore and Shimoga. Results are expected to be announced in the first week of May.
