Mangaluru, Aug 6: Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), leading software company in the country is planning to open a spacious office in Karnad here.
A capital of Rs 27,107.39 crores has been invested in Karnataka since March this year. Karnataka state government has approved 37 projects among them. The projects are expected to create 46,000 jobs in the state.
It is believed that 85 projects worth Rs 6,136.97 crores will create 31,648 jobs and another 10,000 jobs will be created by 16 projects worth Rs 18,989.02 crores.
The investments of Rs 13,026 crores by JSW Vijayanagar Metalics Limited in Ballary, Rs 1,085.30 crores by Seimens Healthcare in Bengaluru for research and experimental development services and Rs 500 crores by TCS in Dakshina Kannada district have been already approved.
Saps Labs India Private Limited has announced that it will invest Rs 499 crores for Hi-tech defence and Aerospace Park (IT sector) in the outskirts of Bengaluru. The company has said that the investment cost will be raised in stages from Rs 490 crores to Rs 1,000 crore over a period of five years.
TCS will be opening its campus on 38 acres of land in Dakshina Kannada district. Over 4,000 people are likely to be employed by it once it is opened completely.
