Mangaluru, Aug 5: The Dakshina Kannada deputy commissioner Dr K V Rajendra in a press release dated August 4 has urged people visiting the malls, shops and markets to mandatorily wear masks and maintain social distance.
He has directed the corporation commissioner to assign officials across 60 wards of the Mangaluru city to hold coronavirus related awareness campaigns urging and educating the people on the benefit of wearing masks and maintaining social distance amid the growing pandemic.
The deputy commissioner also warned of imposing fines and issuing notices to the violators who flout the orders.
