Shivamogga, Aug 5: "It was the hope of majority Hindus that the mosque in Ayodhya should be demolished and Ram Temple should be constructed. Today our dream has been realized. Similarly, temples should be built at Kashi and Mathura," said K S Eshwarappa, rural development minister.
Eshwarappa was speaking on the occasion where Rama Taraka Homa was organized by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad of the district at the Sri Seetharamanjaneya temple of the city praying for the Bhoomi Pooja at Ayodhya to be carried out successfully without any hiccups.
He further said, "When we go to Kashi and Mathura to get the darshan of Lord, we feel as if we are slaves. The reason for this is the presence of the mosque just by the side of the temple. That is why the devotees are not able to offer prayer with devotion in those temples. The mosque which was the emblem of slavery at Ayodhya was demolished. Similarly, temples should be built at Kashi and Mathura.”
