Bengaluru, Aug 3: A day after Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa announced that he had tested positive for Corona virus and had been admitted to Manipal Hospital in Bengaluru, State Governor Vajubhai Vala underwent tests on Monday for COVID-19 and has been tested as negative, according to an official release from the Raj Bhavan here.
The Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa and Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai met the Governor at Raj Bhavan on July 31, and held discussions on various matters related to the administration.
On Sunday, Yediyurappa tested positive for COVID-19 and admitted to the Manipal Hospital in the City.
Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s daughter B Y Padmavati has also tested positive and hospitalized.
Home Minister Basavaraj Bommai was under home quarantine, according to official sources.
After knowing that Chief Minister tested as Corona positive, the Governor and ADG to the Governor have undergone Corona antigen test and tested as negative done on August 3, 2020 at 12.30 pm, said the official release.
