Mangaluru/Udupi, Aug 2: There will be no restriction for commercial activities on Sunday August 2 as the Sunday lockdown that was in force for the past three Sundays is withdrawn by the district administration.
Private and KSRTC buses will be in service as usual in the district of Dakshina Kannada. Only limited number of city buses will run in Mangaluru city.
Excepting containment zones, free movement of people is allowed in the district of Udupi on Sunday. In containment zones, however, strict measures will continue till August 31. The Santhekatte market used to function on Saturdays, as there was Sunday lockdown on earlier Sundays. Now the market will be open on Sundays only.

City buses will not be in service in the district of Udupi on Sunday as the number of passengers will be very few as per the information provided by Kuyiladi Suresh Nayak, president of Udupi city bus owners' association. However, KSRTC and NARM buses will be in operation in Udupi as per the information provided by Udaya Kumar Shetty, depot manager of KSRTC Udupi.
