Mangaluru, Aug 1: The YCS/YSM Mangalore diocesan annual magazine ‘Yuvataare 2020' was released on Saturday August 1 at Daijiworld office in Bondel.
Walter Nandalike, managing director of Daijiworld, Fr Rupesh Madtha, director of YCS/YSM Mangalore diocese, Francis D’Cunha, resource person for YCS/YSM, Prajwal Sequeira, diocesan YCS/YSM animator, Mervin Vas, diocesan YCS/YSM coordinator, along with a few central council members Rishanth Fernandes, Carol Santhumayor, Samantha Saldanha (student editor) and Megan Crasta were present for the release of the magazine. Richard Alvares Kulshekar has also worked on the book as an honorary editor.
Mervin welcomed the gathering. Fr Rupesh and Mr Francis spoke a few words in appreciation to Waletr Nandalike who has been doing a marvellous job through his media especially during the lockdown. Later, the magazine was released by Walter Nandalike. A memento was presented to him by the council members.
The magazine is published under the theme 'Protect and Promote Life' and gives opportunity to members to explore their innate literary talents. YCS/YSM is an international movement of the Catholic Church which also has membership in UNESCO. The movement consists of 155 units in the diocese with 200 animators along with 4,500 student members. It has more than 2 million members all over the world.
