International flights to remain suspended till August 31

New Delhi, Jul 31 (IANS): The Central government on Friday extended the suspension on scheduled commercial international flight operations to and from India till August 31.

"The Government has decided to extend the suspension on the Scheduled International Commercial Passenger Services to or from India up to 2359 hours IST of 31st August," an official statement said.

"Specific Notice to Airmen (NOTAM) has been issued accordingly."

The restriction, however, will not be applicable on all-cargo flights and other flights specially approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

Passenger air services were suspended on March 25 due to the nationwide lockdown to check the spread of COVID-19. Domestic flight services, however, resumed from May 25.

What is the BJP Govt. Doing? Does Amit Shah who thinks he knows how to handle everything has disrupted everything in India and Modiji just asked people to clap and bang utensils. This clearly shows uneducated mentality of our Govt. Moreover BJP just want to control the country and implicates all issues on other parties. Can the BJP focus on the nationals and implement a Disaster Recovery and Management system in the country to devoid the Corona virus instead of fighting over politics. Politics is short term and Covid will destroy this Govt politics. Did Ami even consider this.

    Dear Mr. Jayaraj,

If you talking about the jobs in the middle east, I am working in Saudi Arabia and no incoming flights are allowed in almost all GCC countries expect few flights to UAE due to mutual understanding. So if India opens international flights and if others countries are yet to open the facility for incoming people where will people fly?

Why is DGCA preventing Indians living in other countries from visiting their country?

Mr. Puri is concentrating only on UAE, US, Canada and Europe. Wish he knows that world is made up of many more countries other than the ones he is 'Bubbling' with. There is hardly any mention of travel bubbles with the south Asian countries which has a sizeable Indian population who are eagerly waiting to return to their families, many are old with health issues and many other reasons. t

looks like he takes immense sadistic pleasure in extending the International travel ban month after month. This aviation minister will decimate the aviation industry and also the Modi govt which may pay the price for the high handed behavior of this man. Hope he can see some sense before it is too late.

The flights will be compulsorily grounded...international flights can resume only when the destination countries feel safe enough to let Indians in...that is unlikely to happen before around March 2021...so people from Iswa Gooru country cannot travel outside the country until then...
