When they were going towards Tallur on Tallur-Neralakatte road near JCB garage at Parthikatte of Tallur village, a vehicle that was coming from Tallur and proceeding towards Neralakatte hit the handle of the bike and knocked it down. Sunil K R said, "The beef traffickers are not only transporting cattle and beef meat illegally but are also threatening people by showing swords. Illegal cattle trafficking is increasing since a week. There is no tradition of hurting the sentiments of a particular religion during the festival of another religion. But this tendency is increasing in the coastal belt of Karnataka.
"In addition to stealing and eating cow, which is revered by Hindus, the traffickers are threatening us with lethal weapons. But the activists of our organizations will not sit quiet after seeing acts of these kind by the cattle traffickers. We are ready to get on to the road to protest. We have already requested the police department. Both VHP and Bajrang Dal will not tolerate these kinds of acts,” he said.
