Kundapur, Jul 26: In an incident that came to light on the morning of Sunday, July 26, a man allegedly ended his life by hanging.
The deceased has been identified as Subramanya Poojary (36), a native of Sagar residing in his wife's house at Devalkunda Tattegodlu here.
His body was found hanging from an iron pipe of a fish vending shop which was established recently.
After his marriage, it is said, Subramanya stayed in Devalkunda itself and did odd jobs as driver, electrician and daily wage labourer work. It is said that he was addicted to alcohol and used to pick up fights at home frequently.
It is suspected that on the night of Saturday July 25, he might have come to the shop near Hattiangadi and hanged himself from the iron rod on the roof of the shop.
He is survived by wife and a son who is eight years old.
Acting PSI of Kundapur rural police station Subbanna and other personnel visited the spot and conducted investigation.
