Udupi, Jul 21: "From Wednesday, Jul 22 bus services will resume operations in Udupi," said the district DC G Jagadeesha.
As per the state government's decision, certain activities were restricted in the district and a complete lockdown was not imposed. So as a relaxation measure buses are allowed to operate from Wednesday morning, the DC said.
The district commissioner urged the public to follow all the necessary measures while using the bus service. "Wearing of a mask, maintaining social distance, sanitizing the buses has to be followed without fail. Unnecessary movement is restricted. Checkposts will be operational on the district border as usual. Everyone entering and leaving the district will be checked. I request the public to cooperate with the district administration in this regard," the DC said.
However, he also maintained that there was no decision taken on the aspect of inter-district travel.
