Mangaluru, Jul 17: “Deputy chief minister (DCM) Ashwath Narayan has assured to provide 25,000 Covid rapid test kits along with 15 ambulances to fight coronavirus cases in the district,” said Dakshina Kannada district in-charge minister Kota Srinivas Poojary.
He was speaking after having had discussions with the deputy chief minister regarding free treatments for coronavirus patients at private hospitals in the district. "Soon after the infected persons contact the nearest private hospitals, free treatment will be made available to the individual at the government’s cost if deemed necessary. The directions will be issued to the concerned in this connection," he added.
“Similarly, those who will be undergoing treatment and who need to be tested for the virus, should not worry,” DCM Ashwath assured and reportedly asked the deputy commissioner to act immediately.
For the help extended by the DCM and CM Yediyurappa to the Dakshina Kannada district, Kota Srinivas Poojary expressed his gratitude.
