Bantwal, Jul 12: Renowned drama writer and senior artiste Giriyappa Kulal Badyaru passed away from a heart attack on the night of Saturday, July 11 at Kallige in the taluk.
Giriyappa (58), died in his house at Badyaru under the limits of the Kallige gram panchayat.
Giriyappa used to run Kanti Arts near Ganadapadpu of B C Road where he used to do many works related to art including drawing of banners. He has carved a niche for himself in the drama field. He has written more than 60 social, comedy and historical dramas.
