Byndoor: Woman mistakenly consumes poison, passes away

Byndoor, Jul 11: A woman who had mistakenly consumed poisonous substances at her home on July 6 passed away. She was Bhagirathi (38), wife of Mahesh from Heggeri in Taggarse village.

Bhagirathi emptied the contents of a bottle she found at her home, reportedly thinking that it was liquor. However, after that she fell seriously ill.

After finding that the substance she consumed was poisonous, Bhagirathi was rushed to Manipal Hospital where the doctors tried to save her life. She however, did not respond and passed away on Thursday July 9, it is learnt.

A case relating to this incident was registered in Byndoor police station.
