Kundapur: Dead body of man who was washed away found after two days

Kundapur, Jul 10: The dead body of Hosangadi village, Kantagadde resident Vittal Golla (42) who was washed away in the river water during heavy rains two days ago was found on Thursday.

Vittal Golla, a farmer, had gone to answer nature’s call to the side of the lake near his residence on Wednesday afternoon. As he kept his leg on a stone on the banks of the lake, the mud loosened up causing Vittal to lose balance and fall in the lake. He got washed away as the force of the current was strong.

His dead body was not found despite of intense search operations undertaken by the authorities. Finally, it was found near Kerekatte in Shankaranarayana police station limits about three kilometres away from the victim's residence on Thursday. The deceased is survived by wife and two children.

A case in the regard has been registered at Amasebail police station.
