Daijiworld Media Network – Udupi (HB/EP)

Udupi, Jul 10: "Anganwadi and Asha workers are in direct contact with wards and villages. They visit houses and collect information about who is infected and inform higher officials," said Udupi district Congress president Ashok Kumar Kodavoor.

"They disregard fear of getting infected and are the real ambassadors that protect the health of people. The government should honour their genuine demands and pay them suitable honorarium and respect. It is the responsibility of the elected government. Therefore, the union and state government should take suitable action in this connection," he urged.
