Mangaluru, Jul 9: Dr Karunakar A Kotegar has been appointed as a member of Mangalore University (MU) syndicate. The state governor, who is the chancellor of the university, nominated him to the syndicate for a period of three years.
Dr Karunkar has been serving as professor and head of the department of computer applications, Manipal Institute of Technology (MIT), Manipal, since the last 22 years.
Dr Karunkar is the son of the late Annappa Kotegar and Susheela couple from Paduvari in Byndoor taluk. He currently stays at Indrali, Udupi. His wife, Dr Anitha, has been serving as a professor in the department of electronics and communication engineering department of MIT.
Ravichandra P M: Ravichandra P M, who also has been nominated as a member of MU syndicate, is a Mangaluru-based advocate. He is basically from Kasargod and had his education in Dakshina Kannada district.
Ravichandra had discharged responsibilities in various capacities in Akhil Bharatiya/Vidyarthi Parishad. In 2020, he was a member of the MU syndicate.
