Bangalore, Feb 23: The First Catholic Charismatic Renewal (CCR) Regional Leaders' Conference was organised by the ICCRS Sub-Committee for Asia-Oceania (ISAO) & the BCCRS (Co-hosts) for the Near East, Middle East and South Asia in Bangalore, India. The Conference was attended by over 200 Leaders from several nations. The Theme was “Put out into the deep and let down your nets for a catch”(Luke 5:4).

The Worship Evening was held 20th of Feb 2010, featuring the Youth Gospel Bands of our Archdiocese and Bands from Singapore and Korea followed by a Revival Rally on the 21st Feb 2010, lead by Rev Fr. Rufus Pereira, President of the International Association of Deliverance & Vice President of the International Association of Exorcists organised on evenings of the 20th and the 21st February 2010 at the Holy Ghost Church, Seminary Grounds, Richards Town Bangalore.
The Archbishop of Bangalore Dr. Bernard Moras and Bishop Valerian D'Souza, Bishop Emeritus of Pune attended the Conference. Addressing over 2000 Youth at the Conference, Archbishop Moras expressing happiness that the Conference is organized in Bangalore reminding the Youth that this was the year of priests “Do not criticize or fight with your priests. Love them. When they have not met your expectations, pray for them. That will be a good gift for them from you. We can strengthen the Church only when we love and forgive each other. Team work in building the local church is not possible when we do not overlook our differences".
Known as the ‘guitar-bishop’ Bishop Valerian treated the audience with his singing and soul-stirring rhytmns on the guitar while various youth groups presented Tableau and dance on Biblical themes. Fr. Jacob Britto lead the gathering into a solemn adoration before the Blessed Sacrament.
