Sullia: Youth trying to catch fish from river drowns

Sullia, Jul 4: A young man who went to catch fish from River Kumaradhara drowned, reports said.

The victim of this tragic incident was Prakash (26), son of Dolthila Ramanna Naik.

Prakash along with two of his friends, had entered River Kumaradhara at Dolthila in Yedamangala, Kadaba taluk. It is said that he lost his life when bringing the net with him when swimming to the bank.

Puttur fire brigade personnel and Bellare police visited the spot and undertook a search operation. The youth's body was found some distance away from the spot where he went missing.
