Bantwal: Three infected - Private hospital at closed for sanitisation

Bantwal, Jul 3: A private hospital at Thumbe closed for a day for sanitisation after coronavirus infection was confirmed in two patients and a nurse there.

Two patients had got admitted into the hospital a few days back, complaining of fever, Their throat swab samples had been sent for testing. Both the reports have since been received, and they have tested positive. The COVID test performed on a nurse of the hospital also is positive. Therefore, all the three stand shifted to the COVID Hospital at Mangaluru.

The hospital authorities voluntarily closed the premises for a day for sanitisation. Other than emergency services, all outpatient and inpatient services stand suspended. Most of the patients in the hospital were shifted to a hospital at Mangaluru and the others are being treated, reports said.
