Mumbai, Jul 3: Well-known Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan passed away on Friday morning July 3, due to cardiac arrest.
The 71-year-old three-time National Award winner, who had choreographed some of the most memorable songs in Hindi cinema, was admitted to Guru Nanak Hospital in Bandra last Saturday after she complained of breathing issues. She was tested negative in the mandatory COVID-19 test.
Her nephew Manish Jagwani told PTI that she passed away due to cardiac arrest at around 2.30 a.m. at the hospital
Saroj Khan is credited with choreographing more than 2,000 songs in a career spanning over four decades.
Her last work was in 2019 for the song ‘Tabaah Hogaye’, featuring Madhuri Dixit in the Hindi movie ‘Kalank’.
