Karkala, Jul 2: World Doctors' Day was celebrated by Rotary Club Belman in the primary health centre.

Dr Shwetha, medical officer of primary health centre of Belman, who is delivering excellent service along with her team to the people of Belman in these days of the coronavirus pandemic was awarded the prestigious Rotary professional service award.

The Rotary club also handed over PPE kits and 50 surgical face masks to the primary health care center.

Rtr Subhash Kumar, president of Rotary Belman presided over the function and welcomed the gathering. Former assistant governor of zone five Rtr Suryakantha Shetty was the chief guest. He lauded the effort and work of the personnel of the primary health care centre.

Secretary of the Rotary club Belman, Rtr Raviraj Shetty rendered the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Rtr Muralidhar Jogi.

Rtr Rajesh Salian, Mohandas Shetty and personnel of primary health care center participated in the event.
