Mangaluru, Jun 30: The Kudla Kop-Mangalore Liverpool football club supporters group from the city as part of their community service took on the initiative of celebrating their first Premier League title win in 30 years by feeding the needy and the poor around the city.
The initiative was spearheaded by avid LFC fan, Sartaj Beary, who organised to cook food. Liverpool fans in the city hail from different backgrounds, creed, religion but their passion for football and Liverpool brought them toghether.
Two local charity groups, Hope foundation and team Munna Kammaradi collaborated with LFC fans to undertake the distribution responsibilities along with the LFC fans from the city.
They will continue to extend their helping hand to the community in every way possible so that they can all survive this pandemic regardless of their social status.
This initiative represents the Liverpool Club ethos of caring for the community. They are inspired by fans supporting food banks in Liverpool. This also represents their club manager, Jurgen Klopp who is involved in action charity focused on removing poverty and hunger.
This is Liverpool fans way of thanking the Liverpool's players for making their ultimate dream come true after a long wait of 30 years. They want to tell the world they are Liverpool, they are the champions of England.
