Mangaluru, Jun 29: The heat of the coronavirus has now also impacted Mangaluru’s Lady Goschen maternity hospital. As most of the doctors and a few staff members of this government hospital are under quarantine and since all the departments of the hospital need to be fumigated and sanitized as a precautionary measure, the inpatient and outpatient services at the hospital have been suspended from June 30 to July 5.
A referral card for further treatment of patients will be issued under Ab-ArK scheme to private medical college hospitals. The hospital will function as usual from July 6. People have been thereby requested to cooperate.
Savitha, the medical superintendent has requested people to contact Dr Shakutala M, nodal officer of Ab-ArK scheme if additional information is required in this connection. The help desk number for further details is 0824-2424001.
