Shimla, Jan 18: Himachal Pradesh will connect all villages with a population of over 250 people with roads by the year 2012, Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Gulab Singh Thakur said Wednesday.
The state is also studying the pattern of road construction in different states in order to strengthen its road infrastructure, Thakur added.
"In order to strengthen the road network in the state, we would study the pattern of road construction in various states," Thakur said in a statement here.
"In spite of different topography of the hill state, we are committed to connect all villages with a population of over 250 people with roads by the year 2012," he said.
Thakur is in Chhattisgarh these days to study various ongoing road expansion projects.
